Wessex Museums announces new Partnership Manager – Hannah Baker

Hannah brings over 18 years of experience in the cultural and charitable sectors, with a proven track record in providing strategic direction and delivering impactful programmes. She joins Wessex Museums from her previous role as Chief Officer at Poole Communities Trust, where she oversaw two busy community centres, a staff and volunteer team and provided strategic leadership to the charity.
Before this, Hannah was a company director and Senior Manager at The Arts Development Company, a trailblazing organisation as the first arts development Mutual in England to be established. Hannah has led on developing and delivering programmes for young people, marginalised groups underrepresented in the cultural sector and projects connecting communities across the UK and internationally.
Her fascination with museums began with regular trips as a very young child to Haslemere Museum and Museum of Farnham in Surrey exploring the Victorian taxidermy and the collections from the natural world. Since 2002 Hannah has been resident in Dorset where the combination of culture and countryside has been a big part of her life.
She has also worked in arts education for Dorset County Council and spent time delivering humanitarian education with the British Red Cross.
