Description

A cream silk satin waistcoat lined with natural linen plain weave. Embroidered in shades of blue, brown and yellow silk floss and plied black silk. With a silk front and a stand-up collar with pockets on each side with flaps. Embroidery in satin stitch with floral motifs over entire surface. Extreme outside edges have a dot and zig-zag design. Fastened at front with ten covered and embroidered buttons, adjusted at the back with three sets of tapes. “J.W. Bond” is written on the back in ink. 18th Century.
