Description

Identification note: Wilfred was a rabbit character in a children’s strip cartoon in a daily newspaper whose club children joined and were then given a club badge – members were called Gug Nuncs and if one saw a fellow Gug Nunc one had to greet them with the words – Gug Nunc

Summary: copper alloy badge with blue enamel face and etched or stamped letters WL OG and an image of the top of a rabbit’s head with long ears standing for the Wilfred League of Gug Nuncs found at Ramsbury
