What the heck is a lek?
Males great bustards perform spectacular courtship displays, gathering at a ‘lek’ or small display ground to try to impress the females.
Summary: 1 silver miliarensis of Valentinian I 364-375 AD, struck at Rome, part of a hoard of 7,407 late Roman coins (1 gold, 1,569 silver and 5,837 bronze) found alongside gold and silver jewellery and copper artefacts at Blagan Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire; the site was excavated by Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society’s Field Group between 1992-1994

The great bustard has a dignified slow walk but tends to run when disturbed, rather than fly.
The hen-bird on display at The Salisbury Museum was one of the last great bustards to be eaten in the town!
